2017 Winter Training Coaches

We have a top-notch coaching staff leading Winter Training this year.  Each coach is listed below with their areas of expertise highlighted, but feel free to reach out to any of them at the Sunday group runs or by messaging them directly with your concerns through Fitvil.

Karen Harr

Heart Rate Training, Running Form

Karen is the training director at Fleet Feet Sports Pittsburgh and is an RRCA certified coach.  She has coached our No Boundaries, WalkFIT, Marathon Training, EQT 10-Miler and and developed the store’s Essentials of Heart Rate based training program.   She has run 18 marathons including 7 each Boston and Pittsburgh Marathons. Karen shares her passion for Pittsburgh through training program and Sunday group fun run maps. 

 

 

Kisa Snyder

Relay, Walk/Run Interval Training

Kisa is Fleet Feet Sports Training Coordinator and head coach of the store’s No Boundaries training programs including WalkFIT, Learn to Run 5K and 10K and oversees the store’s weight-loss program, The Movement.  She specializes in coaching new runners and herself has half and full marathon experience.  This year Kisa will manage the Winter Training Relay registrants as well as walk/run interval training.

 

Anne-Marie Alderson           

Nutrition, Heart Rate Training

Anne-Marie Alderson is founder and coach at Alderson Endurance and Wellness, with experience coaching triathletes, runners, cyclists and swimmers both individually and in groups.  Her certifications include ITCA Triathlon Coach, Metabolic Efficiency Training Specialist, and Heart Zones.  Anne-Marie has competed in races of all distances from 5k and sprint triathlon to marathon and Ironman triathlon, and is a 4-time qualifier for USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships.  In June 2015, she completed the grueling Race Across the West as part of a 2-woman team, covering 860 miles by bicycle from Oceanside CA to Durango CO in 2.5 days.  

 

 

 

 

Dylan Mudlo, MS, CSCS

Strength, Flexibility, Movement, Injury Prevention

Dylan is a personal trainer with Iron City Elite and specializes in cross training for endurance athletes. His competitive and training experience is in swimming, as a Division II collegiate athlete, and in marathon running as a post graduate, including the 2014 Boston marathon. Dylan received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Exercise Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dylan leads the group dynamic warm-up at the Sunday training runs.

 

 

Michael Bauer

Endurance, Heart Rate

Mike is an associate coach with Steel City Endurance and coaches triathletes, runners and cyclists of all ages and abilities. His certifications include USA Triathlon Level I Coach, Ironman Coach, ITCA Triathlon Coach and formerly held certification with USA Cycling. Michael has competed races of all distances from 5k and sprint distance triathlons to Marathons, Ironman triathlon, and ultra-marathons. This year he represented Team Phenomenal Hope at Bertioga-Maresias, a 75 kilometer (48 mile) race in Bertioga, Brazil.
