The Movement - Summer Slim Down Challenge is a 10-week weight loss program designed to help you develop healthier habits in both your current eating regimen and activity level. Whether you are looking to lose a few pounds (or several), or just want to get a better handle on your nutrition, we can support you on your FIT journey! Another goal is to strive for 10,000 steps a day to keep us heart healthy throughout the program!
We will use Cooking Light's book, The Food Lover's Healthy Habit Cookbook: Great Food & Expert Advice That Will Change Your Life with Janet Helm, RD as a tool during our weekly meetings, as we tackle ways to make changes that will have a lasting effect on your health and happiness. Although we hope you will lose weight, our focus is on health and positive behaviors. Stay after for a 30-minute walk to get some steps in!

Then, mark your calendars for our Kick-Off Meeting is Monday, June 6th at 6:30pm.
Q: How will we keep track of our progress throughout the program?
A: You will do an initial weigh-in at the Kick-Off. After that, you will weigh in weekly on a day that is convenient for you. In addition, you will have various body measurements taken at the Kick-Off and at the end.
Q: Will my information be kept private?
A: Yes! We will keep a folder for each participant. Inside will be your goal sheet, body measurements, and weekly weigh-ins. You can look at it at any time you are in the store. Weigh-ins will take place privately and your weight will never be shared. We will only make reference to the overall group’s weight loss amount or percentage!
Q: What will occur at the weekly Monday meetings?
A: Meetings begin at 6:30pm each week. We will discuss a topic around healthy habits. Ask questions, share ideas and recipes. Come in after 6pm to get weighed prior to the meeting. Stay after for a group walk (weather pending).
Q: Is Iron City Elite’s Strength & Conditioning program for anyone?
A: Yes, the trainers at ICE will work in small groups and according to ability level. It is not a cross fit class, but a strength and conditioning class to help you build flexibility, overall strength, and physical endurance in a safe environment at your own level.
